Ajdovscina, in Vipava Valley (Slovenia), was the city chosen to celebrate the last meeting of the Annual Assembly between the partners of the European Vinest Network that promote the exchange of ideas between small productions wine areas in Europe with the objective to protect and improve the variety and singularity of their wines, their lands and their culture.
Last May, it was celebrated the Annual Assembly where participated partners from Germany, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia and Spain. There, David Bratoz, President of the Vinest Network, resigned to the charge for professional reason. Previously, he presented the inform about the activities developed among the year. Also, the partners voted to include a new membership that it was “Unione dei Comuni Valle del Savio”.
Besides, they elected Jan Thyen, the representative for touristic businesses in Saale-Unstrut (Germany), as new President of the Vinest Network and Ivica Milicevic, from the municipality of Ilok (Croatia), as Vicepresident.
The main conclusion of this meeting is that Vinest is a unique and very exclusive channel to promote the territories, being an indispensable tool of co-marketing between regions with comun problems, where wine and culture are everthing, like the logo says "Conecting Wine Cultures".
