Chardonnay Mandrija Lanthieri
Vinification: White
Year: 2005
Description: The Chardonnay vines thrive well on terraced terrain of Vipava wine region. Suitable climate and geological structure of the terrain, not to mention the diligent hands of winegrowers, are a pre-condition for successful growing of high quality wine. The wine is produced with the use of traditional winegrowing procedures typical of Vipava region wine cellars and modern technology.
The color of this wine ranges from straw yellow to light green, even the dry one has a strong and full flavor. It has a full and mixed apple, pear and peach aroma It is full-bodied, rich wine, both in aroma and palate; the finish is lengthy. Its characteristic is the balance between alcohol and acids. The richness of the extract does not permit the acids to spoil the palate; instead they give the wine a special, vivacious flavor despite its full body.
The wine goes well with fish, sea-food, chicken, quail, pork, lamb and venison (deer)

Lanthieri Zelen
Vinification: White
Year: 2005
Description: This wine is one of the few autochthonous wine sorts of Littoral region. More precisely, upper Vipava Valley is its home. It is a renowned wine, but rarity on the market.
The wine’s hue is straw-yellow with accentuated green in it. Reverend Matija Vertovec in his book Winegrowing (1844) wrote that Zelen is a wine sort with especially generous bouquet.
We can say that it is an aromatic sort - its bouquet is gentle yet with distinct fruity apple and pear aroma. The people of Vipava used to refer to Zelen as “The Aroma”, for its fragrance fills the space in which it is drunk. The fullness of its palate gives evidence of reach extract, which, when in mouth, releases a well balanced sweet-sour palate. The alcohol content helps form the backbone of the wine and brings out its strength.
After taking a sip one feels the reach structure and the harmony of this wine; therefore Zelen can be described as the sort with reverent past and bright future.

Pinela
Vinification: White
Year: 2005
Description: Today the Pinela grape can be found only in the Vipava Valley. As the cultivating ground it prefers marls and sandstones, placed on the sides with plenty of sun, where the wind quickly dries the dew and humidity between the luxuriant vines. The fruit, which is a combination of the carefully picked quality grapes and the experience of traditional winemakers, is a vintage wine of a pale yellow colour with a slight green sheen. A fruity flavour and a subtle bouquet that emanate from the wine accompany a distinctive taste. Because of its savoury and pleasant freshness, which is a result of a slightly higher acidity, it pours almost by itself. It goes best with warm starters and vegetable dishes, but we also recommend it always when pasta or white meat is served with cheese or cream sauces that have a slightly sweeter taste. Pinela is a wine from the past, which was unjustly kept in the background for a long period of time. But recently, the Pinela wine has entered another golden age and gaining admiration among the winemakers and lovers of vintage wines. It therefore deserves to be called the wine of the future. 12% Alc.
